01
Say what the I Ching is — and what it isn't.
You'll know how the text is put together and why “reflection, not fortune-telling” isn't a disclaimer, it's the whole point.
Module 1 · Origins
Who this is for
- You want a structured path through the I Ching instead of scattered translations and half-remembered guides.
- You already cast hexagrams and want the classical grammar and the casting methods set out properly — the yarrow stalks, the three coins, the line positions.
- You teach or study Chinese thought and want a clean reference you can print, mark up, and come back to for years.
What you'll be able to do
Six things, one for each module.
02
Read the eight trigrams.
Their names, their images, their numbers — and how line positions and the language of the judgements actually work.
Module 2 · The eight trigrams
03
See how trigrams combine.
Heaven and Earth, Thunder and Wind, Water and Fire, Mountain and Lake — the pairings that build every one of the 64 hexagrams.
Module 3 · Trigrams combined
04
Cast properly.
The yarrow-stalk method, the three-coin method, body and use (体用), with worked examples you can follow line by line.
Module 4 · The method
05
Work all 64 hexagrams.
One lesson each, with a reusable reading template so you don't start from zero every time.
Module 5 · The 64 hexagrams
06
Use it in modern life.
Decisions, perspective, how the book travelled West, and a capstone lesson that ties the whole course together.

Questions people ask
1. What exactly do I get?
89 PDF lessons — 557 pages across six modules — delivered as an instant download (16.6 MB), organized by module. You get the whole course at once and keep it forever.
2. Do I need any prior knowledge?
No. The course is built for self-study from the ground up. Module 1 assumes you've never opened the book, and each module builds on the last.
3. How is this different from the free I Ching report?
The free report is a reading: you ask one question, you get one hexagram explained. The course is the method behind it. It teaches you the 64 hexagrams, the lines, and the casting methods, so you can read for yourself — on your own questions, at your own pace, for life. One is an answer; this is the system.
4. How long does each lesson take?
About twenty minutes of reading per lesson. At that pace the course runs roughly 30 hours of steady study, but there's no deadline and no schedule — you set the pace.
